Cassandra Onofrey, M.D. – Oculoplastics
Dr. Cassandra Onofrey moved to Florida in 1996 to complete her training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology as well as fellowships in both Neuro-Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Surgery. Her research has been published in national ophthalmology journals and presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and at her subspecialty society, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
She established her private practice in South Florida in 2002 dedicated to cosmetic and reconstructive Oculoplastic Surgery. She specializes in eyelid, tearing and eye socket disorders. Her diverse surgical practice encompasses aesthetic patients interested in cosmetic upper and lower lid surgery as well as functional patients requesting correction of eyelid malpositions and removal of eyelid growths. She has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of eyelid skin cancers and works closely with Mohs Dermatologists to achieve complete tumor excision with functional and aesthetically pleasing reconstructions.
She is Board Certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Onofrey lives in Jupiter with her husband and two children and enjoys boating.
