Optometric Administrative Assistant

Mittleman Eye is seeking friendly, fun, and energetic individuals to join our Optical team! We are a busy optometry practice located in West Palm Beach and Jupiter, FL. We are looking to add a team member who shares our vision of creating a personal and inviting environment to provide the best care for our patients.

We have a full-time position available! No experience is necessary for we are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about social media and new technology to enhance the doctor’s office experience. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow along with our practice.

SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include but not limited to greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, general office duties, assisting in optical dispensing, and verifying insurance information.

COMPETENCIES:

The qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:

• Appointment scheduling and administration * Contact lens application and removal training
• Administering preliminary exam measurements
• Billing Vision plans
• Maintain day to day operations
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Courtesy, integrity, and loyalty
