Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Shaun now makes his home in West Palm Beach. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology with specialization in Developmental Genetics at Stony Brook University and earned his Vision Science degree at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. Shaun also earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout his optometric training he achieved membership in Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometric academic honor society. Additionally, he was selected to be part of the Gold Key leadership honor society and chosen as a founding member of Nova’s Ambassador program. Shaun completed his internships at Nova Southeastern University, training in various specialty clinics including specialty contact lenses, low vision, pediatrics, glaucoma, retina and other ocular diseases. After completion of his training, Shaun received the award for NSU’s Pediatric and Binocular Vision Clinical Excellence. He is board certified through the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. His professional memberships include the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
